GODAI'S WISH Disclaimer: The rights for "Oh my Goddess" or "Mezon Ikkoku" still belong to Kozuke Fujishima and Rumiko Takahashi, and I am not any richer either. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Five: "First Semester with Kyoko-san" "Spring of secrets" "The spring has come, and I have been student almost a month now along with Kyoko-san. We have different homerooms, but we see each other in school in daily basis. She is nice and friendly to study with. Honestly speaking I don't know if should be grateful for that of not; We eat lunch, and do homeworks sometimes together, but that's it. I don't know if this troubles her too, because sometimes in school she looks sad and depressed. As for me I should be enjoying the joys of campus-life, but apparently the fact that I have been trying three years in a row to get in has left some marks on me..." "Shut up! I have very important mock-exam tomorrow!" Silence falls in auditorium and pupils turn to look Godai, who has risen up from his desk. The teacher turns from blacboard, and turns to look at him. "Yusaku-san, if you can't concentrate at the subject in hand, maybe it would be best if you leave," says the lecturer in stern voice. Other students snicker at him, and Godai blushes from embarashment. Despite his embarrasshing incident, he manages to get trough the day. Walking towards school-gate he notises that Kyoko is waiting him. "Who's the chick?" One of her friends, whom he had been walking, ask from him. Godai tries to hit him, but misses. "That 'chick' is manager of Mezon Ikkoku," Godai answers with an angry voice. "Yeah, I've seen her, she has few same classes as we do," says another guy. So speaking they arrive at the gate, where Kyoko notices them. His friend also notises her, particually that she has tight pair of jeans. "Ohyo, Kanriki-kan." "Ohayo, Godai-san," and bowing slightly she says greets his friends too. "I see that you are going to spend some time with your friends Godai-san." Godai scratches his neck laughs a bit nervously. "Yes something like that, I'm afraid that you had to walk with yourself to Mezon Ikkoku." "Next time then, Ja ne." "She waves to them and leaves, Giving them view of her backside. * * * "Godai-san you life must have been pretty dull; you dream about entry-exams, even you already are in the school." "Yeah Godai, what kind of life you had been living." But he barely pays attention to the others on the table of the cafe. Instead, he just stares out to the window, with non-seeing eyes. < I wonder how long I can keep it secret that I live under the same of with two temporary grounded goddesses? And how Kanriki-kan will take the situation, if things stay in present state? > Godai lets out audible sigh. Because Godai isn't paying attention, guy sitting opposite side from him blows air towards Godai trough straw. "Hello Godai-san, Earth calling." The words seep into Godai's consciousnes, and he turns towards to guy who had spoken to him. "Sorry about that, I wasn't paying attention." "We noticed that." Despite they inquiring faces Godai doesn't offer any explain to them, and this makes uneasy silence fall over the table. This sudden silence gets finally on everybody's nerves, so they decide to leave the cafe. Once outside his school friends start they inquiries again. "Hey Godai-san what's the prob'?" "Yeah, you finally get in the school, and you even bring you own girlfriend with you, or so it seems." That comment gets another sigh out of him. Kicking an empty soda-can, he just walks onwards hand on his pockets. Another guy joins in conversation: "Yeah, she's a babe for a girl." "Look she isn't my Girlfriend do you understand, we just live under the same roof!" He yells at them. "And besides," he continues in more subtle voice, "sometimes that there is no apparent problems, can be problem too." One of the boys shakes his head. "Oh Godai, you surely make your life unnessasery complicated." And as on cue, a certain "complication" makes her presence known, by shouting at Godai's name, and waving to them from further ahead. "Yah-hoo, Godai-san!" Blonde goddess yells from street corner. Godai shudders visibly, and other three boys look from her to Godai. "She is an foreign exchange-student, who lives in Mezon Ikkoku, because of few coincidences," Godai explains to them vainly hoping that his explanation would be enough for them. Unfortunately for him, she runs over to him under her friend's eyes. Making perfect 'shy-girl'-act, Urd asks from him. "Godai nii-chan, are these boys your school-friends?" "Nii-chan?" They all repeat in chorus. Hanging in his arm, Urd flutters her eyelashes (making them gulp for air). "I just call him so, because he had been helping me so much." This latest comment makes nearest boy grasp Godai's shirt. "Godai-san why didn't you tell to us that you live with TWO gorgeous chicks!" "I...er...uh," is all Godai manages to say. Wailing that "World has no justice," and simlilar phrases, they all leave. Soon Godai is standing there with only Urd in his company. When they are out of sight Urd releases her grasp from Godai. Hands straight to his sides Godai turns to face Urd. "Now why do you have to do things like that all the time?" Urd brushes up her regular black piece before answering to him. "'Cause its fun. Besides what's wrong with two students living under same boarding house?" "Because people start to imagining all kind of things that aren't true." "You don't have problem with Kanriki-kan," Urd points out grinning. This comment silences Godai. Pulling himself together, he tries to retaliate against still grinning Urd. "But that different," he says with determination similar to captain of a sinking ship. In infuriating slownes Urd replies: "Oh, how so." Wiggling his fingers Godai mumbles "Because, because..." Patting him in the shoulder, she says to him. "C'moon lets go, the people are watching." Godai look around and jumps. The other people in the street are watching their exchange of words. Fuming, he follows Urd to the railway station. * * * When they arrive at Mezon Ikkoku Urd goes right in, greeting Belldanthi when she passes her in a walkway. Belldanthi ends her sweeping, when she sees still fuming Godai. "Okaerinasai Godai-san. My, you look as if you could use cup of warm tea." "Tadaima Belldanthi. Yes, that would be nice." She puts broom against the wall and hurries inside. Godai hurries after knowing she has pot steaming tea waiting him in Kanriki-kan's apartment, which she shares now with Kyoko. But when she enters the room, there is just Belldanthi waiting her. He sits down anyway, facing Belldanthi. "Kyoko-san left a note saying she has to go to library, so I can listen to your troubles without any disturbing factors." Godai banishes the disappointed look from his face. < You know that she means well. It just that sometimes she doesn't get all the nyanses. > He tells about his meeting with Urd to her. "...After that we luckily got her without any other incidents." She listens him patiently before offering any comment. "Yes, Urd can be bit of the wild side sometimes. Especially now because this is partly her doings why we are in this situation now." Godai extends her cup for her to pour more tea on it, which she does. Sipping his tea, Godai asks: "How do you propose we solve it?" Belldanthi looks at him. < Is there hint of concern in her look? > "I do not, things have gone beyond my powers. My contract with you is still valid, so all we can do is sit this one out and see what happens." * * * Next weekend Kyoko is home at Mezon Ikkoku. She has intented to do some gardening, but both the lawn and the front yard are in excellent shape. She rakes it anyway, just for the sake of doing something. < I've never seen this place looking so good. Belldanthi-san really has knack of keeping things neat and clean. > Then she hears that someone is calling her. When she looks at the direction of sound, she sees her neighbor. "Oh, Konnichi wa, neighbor."' "Konnichi wa, I haven't seen you in the yard in a long time. Have you taken another job or something like that?" Kyoko waves her hand. "Nothing like that, I am school student novadays." "What a surprise, did you get a good school?" She asks, apparently taken by surprise. "To be honest it came as a bit of a surprise to me too. It's not any of the famous ones, but I thought that it would be morally wrong not to accept it." She leans in to the their side of a fence. "With you looks there must be lot of boys around you," she says with low conspirately voice, "and as long that Ronin is living in same house as you..." "Actually we are in a same school...," blushing Kyoko says with low voice. Another woman hides her mouth behind her hand. "I am sorry if an embarrassed you." Kyoko looks at her feet, and fiddles with the broom. "No not at all, Godai-san has been perfect gentleman." Before either of them can continue, loud crying starts from neighbor's house. "Shoot, it seems that I have to go now. Lots of luck with your studies." "Arigatou gozaimazu." < It feels that I will need all the luck I can have. > Having lost her mood for raking, she goes back inside. Belldanthi too has noticed some hesitation in Kyoko's studying. She studies conscientiously, but she reacts with sadness to some school subjects. And as spring went further, there was something other that bothers her. Finally, in one week she gets answer at least one of these questions. * * * When she comes back with groceries, Kyoko is just finishing phone conversation with someone. "...I see you on Sunday then, Bye!" She hungs up th phone, and circles next Sunday on the calendar with red. "Tadaima," she says. "Oh, Okaerinasai Belldanthi-san." "Who was it that you were speaking in the phone? Was it you got good news." Kyoko speaks to her while she dresses up. "In a way yes, you see my father is coming here next Sunday. We are going to visit our family grave." They both walk to the front door. "I take Soichiro-san out for walk, will you watch the house?" "Yes of course, you can count on me." Kyoko sits down and reaches for her shoes. Looking them and shakes her head. "Kuso. I have to buy new shoes. I can't walk with him with these on Sunday." "What, who's comin'?" Ms. Ichinose pokes her head of her room. "Next Sunday.." Kyoko starts, but stops in mid centence. Then she says to Ms. Ichinose with more official tone: "Actually, on the next Sunday the manager is coming here." Then she put her shoes on, and walks out of the door with Belldanthi. When they get out of the door, Kyoko's regal composure breaks and she giggles. "That will give them something to think of," she says to Belldanthi. Understanding her train of though, Belldanthi glances at Kyoko. "I see what you mean. Itte irasshaii, Kyoko-san." * * * When Urd comes in, she finds all the tenants gatheded to the hallway. "Tadaima minna-san. What up?" Godai looks up. "Okairinasai Urd-san." Ms. Ichinose gulps down rest of her beer before answering to her. "On the next Sunday the Manager is coming here." "What's so special about it?" "What's so so special ya ask? Nuthin' gets manager 'ere. Dere gotta be sumthing behind it," is Akemi's answer to her Yotsura-san doesn't say anything, just is there looking ominous. "Hey why doncha, we go somewere else to talk 'bout dis?" "Ah, exellent idea Akemi-san, lead the way," Yotsura-san responses, and starts to walk upstairs. "I get something to drink for us." And so saying Ms. Ichinose goes back to her room. Godai count two and two together, and starts to protest to Backside of Akemi and Yotsura-san "Oh no you don't. I know what you're thinking...!" Buts she can't even get his to end of the sentence when Urd has gripped the collar of his shirt, and is dragging his to the upstairs. When everybody have seated themselves in the floor of Godai's room (as always), they start to ponder the situation. "There's something fishy about this" "Yea. Nuthin' get manager here." "What if he is going to raise the rent?" "Or even sell it away; this house has lately gotten in better condition." Getting nowhere, they sit in silence, drinking their beverages. Then Akemi pokes at Yotsura-san: "What do ya think Yotsura-san" "Ho-hoo," is his answer. "Whatkind answer is dat," says Akemi. "Ha-haa," he replies. Then he turns toward Godai. "Ronin-san, if they kick us out, you have good chance since you seem to get well with Belldanthi." Too confused by her anounciation, he doesn't take on her calling him "Ronin-san". Instead of it he just asks from Yotsura-san, "What do you mean?" "Suppose Belldanthi is here to make this apartment in good selling condition. Then they take new manager, and new tenants." The idea seems a load of rubbish to Godai, knowing who Belldanthi is. But the proposed prospect of getting apart from Kyoko, takes his mood down. They try to ponder it more, but don't get anything tangible out of the of, so occasion turns to drinking-party. Along of it, Akemi ends up with Urd. "Too bad if ya get homeless again, Urd-san. "I can handle it. You know, this present situation isn't entirely my fault." "Lets drink to that." "Yea, lets." Grunbling, Godai prepares to endure yet another all-nighter. Luckily nothing out of the ordinary happens over the night. * * * Finally next Sunday comes. To get an answer to this question considering manager, tenants gather to the stairs. While they wait manager's arrival Godai has time to watch Kyoko who is standing near the front door. He notices that she has arranged her normally freely waving hair up. Also she is wearing the same purple overcoat that she has when she first stepped in. on Mezon Ikkoku's door. Then the other tenants want view to the door, and he ends rear end of the lot. Finally they hear car stopping in front of the house. Next they see the door opening, and bright young-girls voice saying: "Here I keep the door open for you, Ojii-san." When the old man get inside, Akemi comments: "Yup, that's the man I saw when I signed da lease." However Kyoko's response throws the tenants literally out-of-balance: "Otoo-san." They all fall down the floor where they been hiding, right in front of them. "He's your grandfather?" The tenants ask in unison. "Ups, didn't I tell you that," Kyoko says feigning ignorant while hiding her mouth behind her hand. Then the old man speaks: "You see, my family owns this residence. I arranged Kyoko-san as a new Kanriki-kan for Mezon Ikkoku." "Then you're not here to raise the rent?" asks Ms. Ichinose "Or planning to sell dis place an', kick us out." Old man listens their questions, and then waves his hand. "I have not intent to do any such things. My reason to come here consers Kyoko-san." * * * "Come to sit my room, before we go. I make tea for us." "That's most kind of you Kyoko-san." Godai steps up towards Kyoko's grandfather. "Here ojii-san, let me help you." "That's wery generous of you, yong man. I accept your help." So with the help of Godai, all three enter kyoko's room. Ms. Ichinose takes her cigarette-pack from her skirtpocket and lights one. "So it seem that ronin-san has some backbone after all." "Kinda sneaky for 'er trough, eh?" Akemi ask from Yotsura-san, poking her with her elbow. "I king of like Godai-san," Ikuko says to the people in the hall in general. Yotsura-san doesn't say anything, just wrinkles his forehead, and turns to walk towards stairs. Ms. Ichinose and Akemi enter Ms. Ichinoses room. That leaves just Ikuko and Belldanthi standing in the hall. Belldanthi bends over toward Ikuko who is looking at the direction of Kanriki-kan's door, looking little lost. "Ikuko-chan is your name, ne?" Ikuko nods shyly. "For now Ikuko-chan, it would be best to give them a little privacy. Let us go upstairs, I show your something." Then she offers her hand to Ikuko. after a moment's hesitation Belldanthi's friendly aura melts her shyness, and she takes her hand. "Is it something scary?" "A bit maybe. But your do not have to be afraid, I promise your will be safe." Then they too walk to the upstairs. * * * Inside the room Kyoko serves tea to her grandfather, and somewhat nervous Godai. "How has it been here, Kyoko?" "Oh first it was bit difficult, but now I have learned the routines," she answers nonchalantly. "The tenants are bit...ecsentric, but Godai-san has been great help." Grandfather misses Godai's blushing because he is looking around the room. "You had gotten this house in really good condition. When I last visited here this house was in far worse shape." Now is Kyoko's turn to blush. "He-he. I've had had good help," she says while scratching her neck. They drink tea for a while. Then grandfather reaches over chabudai, and say's to Godai in confided tone of voice: "It is good to see that my daughter has made some good and reliable friends." This sudden outburst raises mixed feeling in Godai. < He got mislead Kyoko's choice of words, but all the same he seems to react positively to us that is good. > The way his reasoning ends, crushes instantly his raised hopes. < If there's ever going to be 'us'. > "Grandfather!," Kyoko's interrupts Grandfather retreats back to his side of table. "Sorry if I behaved too friendly towards you, young man. please forgive me." "Oh, It's nothing." < Kyoko rose up to defend me, she MUST have some feeling towards me! > Kyoko has also noticed in which way things are going. < Situation here almost resembles of ominai. > Before any gloomy silence has tome to form around them, grandfather glances the clock. "Kyoko, we should be going, if you want to go there today." "Oh so it is grandfather. Let me just clean the table fist." They are finishing their tea-break, when Ikuko rushes in to the room. "Aunt-Kuoko, quess what?" "Do tell me, Ikuko-chan?" "Belldanthi-san showed me an angel. She had long golden hair, and shining white wings. It was beautiful," Ikuko explains wit her eyes shining. Not sure how to react, she is just thinking how to respond, when Belldanthi appear in the door. She scolds her lightly. "But Ikuko-chan, I told you to keep it as a secret." "But aunt-Kyoko you don't gossip, so you will keep my secret, will you?" She says, turning her gaze from Belldanthi to Kyoko when speaking. Kyoko looks at Belldanthi, who is smiling again her usual style. < Everybody whe meet Belldanthi seems to like her, even my little niece. > Aloud she says: "Of course not, your secret is safe with me." Then she ruffles her hair. "Now run along to the door, we will come shortly, and then we can leave." As she walks off, Grandfather starts to rise from the table. Suddenly he grimaces and starts to fall towards Godai, who has rounded the chabudai and happens to cross in front of him in his way to the door. Belldanthi sees what happens, and just manages to throw out incantation. "Forces of wind, hear my call, and stop his fall." So instead if leaving under falling old-man, Godai eases him upright. He is obviously in pain, holding back in one hand. "Is it your back again?" Kyoko asks in nervous voice. still leaning against Godai for support, he turns to face Kyoko. "It has felt better when the weather has been warming, so I thought I could come with you. It seems that you have to go without me this time." "No! I postpone it until you feel better." "You don't have to do that just for the sake of me, I know how important this is to you." Godai follows their conversation, when he gets an idea. < Where ever Kyoko-san wants to go, seems important. > "If you accept my help, I could go with you." "That is kind of you, but we don't want to spoil your weekend." But Godai just waves his hand. "It isn't no trouble at all. I don't have anything major planned for this weekend anyway." < You never have," thinks Kyoko, "but it would solve the broplem. > "I think we should accept his help Grandfather." "Very well the, young-man, I lean to your in this occasion." That settled, all three start to walk towards front-door. "Have a nice journey, I will look up Mezon Ikkoku while you are away." "Thank you Belldanthi." They go into black sedan waiting in the door, which drives away. Walking back inside something nags in Belldanthi mind. < But of course, the incantation! It came easier than previous ones that I have used whle your powers has been dimished. Something major is going to happen anytime soon. > * * * From they somber official clothing Godai has deduded that the occasion in question, would be serious one. But he still is surprised when they arrived at a graveyard. They buy incense and borrow a bucked from the entrance. Kyoko fills it up and insist carrying it herself, despite Godai's offerings of help. When they began to walk into the graveyard, toward destination which is still mystery to Godai. As they walk Godai can see Kyoko's looks turn inwards. Finally they reach small square, surrounded by gravestones. Kyoko walks to one of them, while Godai and grandfather stay at respectful distance from her. She pours water from bucked with a small ladle over it, and then she kneels in front of the grave. Glancing under her eyelids Godai can see incense smoke starting to rise into air. She can also see that Kyoko's shoulders shuddering briefly. Then she gets up, so he quickly lowers his gaze. Somewhat surprisingly he notices Kyoko's shoes in front of him. When he rises his head, Kyoko offers her an incense-stick. "Godai-san would you like make incense offering?" Her voice is small but steady. Perplexed, Godai takes the offered incense-stick and walks to the grave. Kneeling next to gravestone which is covered by vines, he wonders why Kyoko wants hi too make an offering in what appears to be a family grave. To please Kyoko he sticks it to the ground, lights it, and says some prayer. When he had risen up and walked where the two of them are waiting under a small tree, he feels he can't hold any more. So he asks: "If I may be so bold and ask who's grave it it?" Kyoko doesn't say anything, just bites her lip. After a brief moment of silence, grandfather finally answers his question. "It's the grave of her husband." Sudden gush of wind comes up, and it shakes their hair and Kyoko's dress. Stunned by this revelation Godai staggers step back. < Husband! But She's about same age that I am! > Grandfather walks to the grave with Godai's help to the grave. Godai peels wines covering the grave, and text 'Soichiro Otonashi' reveals under them. Then he turns to face, sad-looking grandfather. "Soichiro-san was her geography teacher. She fell love with him, and they got married. It seemed that they would be happy ever after." He goes silent, and watches the grave for a while before continuing. "But their maritial bliss proved to be short lived. Only after half a year, half a year, Soichiro-san got into a car-accident and died in hospital." Godai steals a quick glance to Kyoko, only to see that her shoulders are shaking again. Grandfather looks up from the grave, and continues his story while looking into the distance. "My daughter was lost in her sorrow, unwilling to do anything, but to roam around our house looking sad. So I suggested the she should got something to do to distract herself from the grief, so she would get over to it. "So that's how she came to a Mezon Ikkoku." Grandfather looks to Godai before answering. "Yes. Our family own Mezon Ikkoku, and earlier Kanriki-kan has quit the job. She is handy with domestic's, so I thought she could manage the job." Another gust of wind arises, while they all examine their thoughs. Then suddenly Kyoko turns around to look Godai, not excactly smiling, but not looking overly sad either. Their eyes meet, and Godai thinks he can hear faint tingling of bells. Wiping unseen tear from corner of her eye, she approaches her. Hugging herself, she speaks to him with clear steady voice: "That was saddest event of my life. I thought I could die from the grief, so I swore that I would forever hold Soichiro-san's memory in honor by remaining faithful to him for the rest of my life." The reason to her odd behaviour suddenly brightens to Godai. < She tried to remain faithful, while I thought she was just being prude." How very touching, if somewhat unfashionable. > The whole situation has got Godai by surprise; So all he gets out of his mouth is unclear mumbling. "Anoo, um Kyoko, I, we..." "Godai-san..." Kyoko answers As she leans more towards him, Godai sees her eyes growing large and moist. < She looks radiant! But I can't follow her train of thought. > "Then I meet you Godai-san. You who were so unlike Soichiro-san: clumsy, lazy, lecherous, you don't have any spine to speak of..." This sudden evaluation of his faults makes Godai's face drop. < Unfortunately true, but must you recite them all aloud. > "...But I when I witnessed you gallantly trying, even when everybody were picking you..." He backs up, under Kyoko's continuing outburst, still uncertain what she means all this. "...I was torn internally by my oath to Soichiro-san, and my fond feelings towards you that were growing inside me." In this point her voice breaks, and she throws herself in the Godai's arms. Stunned Godai can't do nothing other than hug back. Nervously he notices unapproved looks by passing older couple. Kyoko stands there for a while her face buried in Godai shoulder. Then she lifts her face to meet Godai, looking more calm. "Godai-san, I have inspected my feelings and motives thoroughly, and I have reached a conclusion: If you take me I would want to share rest of my life with you!" Image of smiling Kyoko is enough to melts Godai's knees, he must collect all his remaining inner strenght just to keep standing. Swallowing the clump in his throat, he manages to answer to her. "My own Kanrinki-kan, nothing would please me more!" "Oh, Godai-san!" Kyoko hugs her so fiercely that they allmost fall. Then grandfathers polite cough reminds them where they still are. Little embarrassed they entangle themselfs, and Kyoko straightens her overcoat. Then she turns to her grandfather. Bowing she address him. "Gomen nasai that I didn't tell you for my intencions for you forehand. If You are against our engagement, I will respect your will." Old man just smiles to them. "Not at all, if it makes you happy." "Arigato gozaimazu makarimazen." * * * Afterwards they go to cafe. Godai has gone wordless from Kyoko's confession, but Kyoko herself is talking enough for both of them. "Grandfather, I am so sorry that I didn't ask you to arrange proper ominai. But I was afraid, and I had just simply have to consult Him before I could made such a big step." Ikuko looks up from giant sundae. "I think you and Godai-niisan make a good pair." Grandfather looks Ikuko, and then Kyoko. "I Understand Kyoko, and I think Soichiro-san could understand." Shadow of worry passes Kyoko's face, but then she looks Godai sitting besides him. Her hand finds his hand, and squeezes it under the table. * * * In Mezon Ikkoku Belldanthi is passing time chatting with somewhat bored Urd who listens halfheartedly, while leafing a magazine. In the middle of sentence, she suddenly stops, as if she had heard something. Noticing the pause in her sisters speaking, Urd raises her gaze from magazine. "What is it sis'?" "As if I almost heard something chiming..." Urd concentrates for a while. "Yes, like something has gived up." She looks to the Belldanthi: "Could it bee..." Urd rises up and hurries to the phone. With slightly trembling fingers she rolls up The Number. As she waits the answer, she drums her nails nervously to the phone-table. Finally somebody answers in the other end of the line: "Goddess relief office. How I can help you." Urd hangs up the phone, and jumps into air. "Yeaay! I got trough. It means I can finally get back!" * * * Back in the cafe grandfather speaks to the happy engaged couple. "I believe that you will get along fine, but I would advise you to wait before getting married. After all, Godai is still in school, and he doesn't has steady job of any kind." Godai takes sudden interest on the tabletop. Kyoko snickers behind her hand, while grandfather continues. "Don't take my words too hard, I think you have a bright future ahead of you." * * * Belldanthi's and Urd's omenings got confirmation, when they see the couple coming back to Mezon Ikkoku. "Tadaima." "Okarimasai." Belldanthi stops sweeping the walkway, to look at them. "It seems that you had a pleasant day." "Yes we had," Godai answers with big grin. "Let go inside. We have something to tell, that has a reason to celebration." Once indoors, and having taken off their outdoor clothes. Belldanthi asks them even she can almost quess the answer: "So what is that you want to tell." "Well you see...," Godai starts, But Kyoko presses a finger on her lips. "Not yet. Why don't you go upstairs to wait, while I go change my clothes. For once Godai doesn't mind his room been used to a partying. She walks upstairs with Belldanthi towards his room, but before they reach it, she stops him. "Wait I have to ask from you what happened." "Can't it wait?" Godai asks. But Belldanthi has really urgent look in her face. "Please, it is important to my sister and me." < I've never seen her so tense. > So Godai tells her in few short words what happened at the graveyard. < So Master Systems self diagnosis has finally solved this case of contradicting wishes. > Out loud she says: "You wishes has finally properly got trough the system. That has released enough memory, so we can use our powers fully." "But that's great." "It also means I will be going back to Asgard, along with Urd." Godai's face falls: "Oh, I didn't thought of that." In this point Kyoko has come up to second floor, and sees them standing there. "Why you still standing along the hallway?" Before Godai can say or do anything, Belldanthi answers to her. "I just wanted to warn him." "About what?" That question forms in Godai's mind too. Ill at ease Belldanthi opens Godai's room door. Inside they see that Urd and other tenants are already in the party-mood. "They made false start already * * * In Godai's room parties has got in a good swing. "So ya finally made da gig step?" Akemi asks after "kampai'ing" with Godai. Ms. Ichinose takes a big swig in her sake bottle, nad looks to him. "So typical of Ronin-san to have girl make iniative." And among these rails they go for all night. But for once Godai isn't minding theirs remarks. END OF CHAPTER FIVE ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Wai! Finally I was able to finish this chapter! There was about half year pause when I didn't even look at it. Then I got an idea: Why not let Godai have both his wishes come true. I hawe seen AMG-movie, recently and otherwise have plans for next chapter. Yes, you did hear correctly. But it will end this fic! Stay tuned. I promise You wont have to wait as long as this chapter.
